Where you can swim with ducks in Cracow - Bagry

Summers in Poland can be pretty damn hot, I know. So if you are in the city walking around and thinking to jump into the Wisła river, please don't do it! Unfortunatelly it's too polluted. Instead of risking your health and getting a fine, you can go to Bagry. We also have Zakrzówek, but it's kind of illegal to swim there. Bagry is an official swimming spot with lifeguards looking after you. Don't expect anything spectacular there. No turqoise water. No Pamela Anderson. But there is a little beach, water and some ducks that you can swim with

I went there last weekend to take some pictures for you. The weather was not actually very good. It started to rain when we got there, but looking to the bride side - the beach was empty.

We had a pizza in the restaurant there and then swam in the lake after the sky brightened. It was the first time ever in the lake for my doggy friend Pszemo (isn't he the cuttest?) and he got really excited, running all over the beach like crazy.

There is also a place where you can rent a kayk, boat or a pedalo and a wake spot.

Ecept from the beach there is a lot of green space all around the lake, if you need more privacy like these two.

There is a bus stop called "Bagry", but you can always check how to get there (or anywhere else) on this website: jakdojade

Whenever I travel I am always very interested in the everyday life of locals. I find it weirdly appealing to watch people doing normal stuff in a totally different context! All of a sudden, you see people doing regular things in totally different ways: they sell different things in shops, wear different clothes, and even have alternative ways of taking out the trash! As much as I love seeing castles and museums, I could spend hours just observing people on the streets and wondering where they go after I’ve lost sight of them. If only I could follow them and see how they live, what kind of coffee they drink, whether or not they have pets, how their homes are decorated… Of course if I did just follow people down the street and invite myself into their homes, the only place I would end up would be under police arrest.
