Lodz (Łódź) is a city in central Poland. It used to be an industrial centrum with the big factories and industrial plants and there are remains of this in the architecture. It's one of the biggest city in Poland but it's not that crowded which makes your trip there more pleasent during the touristic season. I was there many years ago and I remembered it as a grey and sad city. I visited Lodz again last weekend and I was suprised how much it changed and how many colors they have on the streets. There are still buildings that need to be renovated but I actually like that contrast. Beautiful murals next to very old buildings looks interesting. I think Lodz has the best street arts of all the polish cities and if you want to see something different than castles, that's where you should go. Everything is possible thanks to the great work of the foundation Urban Forms . You will find on their website a map with all the murals and you can even take a guided tour around street arts. I photograped some of them for you, but there are still so many to discover. Enjoy and tell which is one is your favourite.
